FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHY ARE THERE 2 PRICES FOR SOME PRINTS?
I have linked up with two different providers of printed products - One Vision Imaging and Photobox - to give you maximum choice in terms of products and quality.
One Vision Imaging provide a higher quality finished print and are hence more expensive, although I have found the quality of Photobox to be very good also.
The choice is yours, but if you ever have a problem with a print please please please let me know.
WHY CAN I NOT ORDER LARGER PRINTS?
To speed up image loading for both you and me I typically load CLIENT images optimised for 6"x4" printing at 300dpi - so 1800 pixels x 1200 pixels. Other non-client images are typically optimised for web viewing only - 1100 pixels max dimension - although I am gradually replacing these with higher resolution versions and most new pictures that I add will be at high resolution.
I would recommend only printing up to 8"x6" from a 1800x1200 file, although the printer companies I use will print larger and do so by utilising advanced software to allow this up-scaling.
In either case, if you would like a larger print and therefore require a higher resolution image, just email me the details of the image you want and the size you want and I'll upload a hi-res version for you to print from.
DO YOU UNDERTAKE PRIVATE WORK SUCH AS WEDDINGS?
I still class myself as an amateur photographer and as such I am not keen to undertake something as important as a full-blown wedding - although I have shot one for a family friend a couple of years ago.
However, recent trends at weddings are to employ the services of two photographers - one for the traditional shots of the day and another to mingle with the guests and capture candid moments from the day. I am more than happy to undertake the 'wing man' role - with the agreement of your main photographer of course. Please email me and we can discuss further.
Apart from weddings, I will be pleased to take family portraits at your home with my portable studio set up. I am also available for pre-Prom photos, special birthday occasions etc.
In the commercial sector I will happily take product shots for businesses such as web site and catalogue images. I am also happy to get involved with other types of promotional material photos.
I LIVE OUTSIDE THE UK, CAN I STILL BUY A PRINT?
Yes, as far as I am aware prints can be posted from the UK to pretty much anywhere in the World.
I currently have agreements set up with print shops in the UK and the US so prints are made specifically in those locations thereby cutting down on the postage costs and can add Australia if required.
In addition, the price plans currently available are for printing in the UK and the US but I can easily add prices in Euros, Canadian, Australian or New Zealand currencies - just email me your requirements.
